Under the Shadow
This may sound a little dark at first...being under the shadow. But recently I was visiting with my good friend Dot and she shared with me about seeing herself as under "the shadow of His wings". (Read scripture: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=psalm%2091&version=NASB.) That speaks to me of safety, comfort, closeness and even consolation.
After our conversation, I stared at a canvas I had painted red with a sky blue overpainting and wondered what to paint on it. Well duh, a wing! So I am now enjoying this 32x32 painting of a wing in my bedroom. I think there even may be more wing paintings to come.
